How do I register as an artist?

Registering with Kala Sanskruti is a simple and fast process. Select I am an Artist / Vendor. Select the Subscription plan and pay the nominal registration fee. Fill up a simple form with your basic details – your biodata, statement of work, and five sample images with pricing Our curators will evaluate your portfolio and then decide whether to partner with you. Once you’ve submitted a registration request, we will take 1 week to get back to you over email.

What are the criteria for registration?

Kala Sanskruti assesses your creation and marketability from the viewpoint of a buyer. Overall, we prefer interesting and distinctive artworks, as well as artists who are original.To preserve reliability in our brand principles and values and as well as to be fair to our partners, we are specific in approving vendors.Some criteria to keep in consideration1. You must be 18 years of age 2. We only accept original works of art, no reproductions or copied works 3. We do not compromise on quality and consistency while reviewing are applicants

Can artists living outside of India register?

Yes, you can apply even if you live outside India. However, you will need an Indian bank account for us to credit your payment in Rupees. We do not remit payments to artists in other currencies and into overseas bank accounts at the moment.

Can I register with Kala Sanskruti and elsewhere?

You may post your work on several websites. However, we insist that the specific works displayed on Kala Sanskruti are not sold elsewhere. This is just to avoid consumers from buying artworks that have previously been sold.

How will you market my art?

Kala Sanskruti, promotes the work of its artists in many different ways, through Digital Marketing, Social Media channels. We make every effort to promote that all of your works to the correct audience and in the correct way.

How should I set the prices for my work?

You are free to set your own prices on Kala Sanskruti, and we are certain that you are aware that how you set your prices will have a significant impact on the number of sales you make. Don't forget to include courier fees and the Kala Sanskruti commission in your offering price. Additionally, our staff may occasionally offer you pricing guidance. Additionally, Kala Sanskruti reserves the right to reject any artwork that it deems to be priced unfairly. The most crucial thing to keep in mind while setting your artwork's price is to remain consistent.

How will I be informed of the sale of my work?

You will be informed of the sale of your work over email and SMS on the contact details you’ve provided us at the time of registration. There is also a ‘Notification’ section on your dashboard where the details of all the pieces you’ve sold will pop up.

What if I don’t receive a notification?

Kala Sanskruti will try to reach you multiple times, both over email and SMS / Call, once an artwork is sold. If there is a sale of your work, and you are not contactable for over 48 hours, we will, unfortunately, need to cancel the order. This directly affects our reputation and yours as well, so it is absolutely essential to be always contactable with the Kala Sanskruti team.

When will I get payments for my work?

You will receive your payment within 21 working days of the buyer confirming that he/she has received the artwork. Remember, that payments will be processed only after confirmation on the site/ by email from the buyer, that they are satisfied with the delivery and the condition of the artwork. These payments will be made into your registered bank account, so do keep your bank account and PAN details updated at all times!

Who has to courier the work to the buyer?

As the artist, you have to pack and courier the artwork to the Buyer with a color printout of the Authenticity Certificate, inserted into an envelope, in the package when you courier the artwork/product. Also, the artist has to email the video of the packaging of the product to Kala Sanskruti at reachus@kala-sanskruti.com. If the artist fails to make and email the video of the packaging and any complaint raised by the buyer related to a damaged product received the artist has to bear all the applicable charges.

Courier Service Provider?

Kala Sanskruti has tied up with the best and most reliable Courier Service. Artists have to pack the artwork in a cylindrical Shipping tube for unmounted artwork, For framed artwork, sculptors, and Murals, pick the right box so it fits and there’s extra room to add packaging materials and padding.

What happens if an artwork is damaged in transit?

Sometimes, buyers claim that artwork was damaged in transit. In such scenarios, the buyer will contact us, and return the artwork to you. However, we must point out that since you will be packing and couriering your artwork yourself, it is your responsibility to ensure that utmost care has to be taken and send us the video of the packaging period also we have applied the same condition for the buyer to make a video while unpackaging the courier received from you.Kala Sanskruti has the sole right to decide on the claim what is to be done in the end.

Packaging guidelines?

1. Ensure paintings are completely dry before packing them. Research the correct amount of drying time before packing and keep a few extra days as a buffer.2. Protect the painting with a layer of butter paper on the painted surface. Any material that comes in contact with the surface of the painting could potentially damage it.3. Use the correct types of packing paper like glassine/ butter paper as the first layer between the painting and any packing material like bubble wrap. DO NOT use printed paper, newspaper, or anything printed the painting could get damaged.4. Now roll the canvas/ paper and cover it in a layer of bubble wrap to protect it from moisture.5. Insert this roll into a PVC or Cardboard tube and seal it from both ends.6. For artwork as stretched or framed, secure the glass by sticking masking tape in a cross across the glass.7. Cover it with bubble wrap. Put cardboard corner protectors on mounted or framed paintings. Place your mounted painting between 2 foam boards cut to size. Choose a corrugated box for framed or mounted paintings

Are all these works of art originals?

All artwork on Kala Sanskruti is original art.

When will I receive my order?

The delivery of your artwork will take approximately 7-15 working days from the time that you place the order. We will do our best to keep you informed at every stage, and you will be notified of the courier details by email and SMS. In most cases, you can also track the shipment online.

Unpacking Courier?

The buyer has to take the unpacking video of the courier to ensure that the product is received in good condition. Once you’ve received your artwork and are satisfied with its arrival, the authenticity certificate, and the courier condition, you need to confirm the receipt of your order to us. We would love to hear your feedback at this point – both on the artwork, as well as on the Kala Sanskruti experience. Please also do try to send us pictures of your art in its new home!
